All Access Pass | Behind The Scenes of RUNWAY 23
Done. Dominated. Delivered. RUNWAY 23 was our first show — and it won’t be the last.
Held at Sydney’s Bennelong restaurant on the 17th of August, deconstructed elements of design, sport and architecture came together for the ultimate workout-to-weekend collection.
A true team effort, the show wouldn’t have been possible without our talented collaborators. Keep reading to enjoy a backstage look at how RUNWAY 23 came to be — thanks to all our dedicated brand partners.
Outfits got an instant lift with sleek jewellery byMejuri. Contrasting their sporty looks, models wore styles in 14-karat gold and sterling silver — all sweat and waterproof to stay on through even the toughest workouts.
RUNWAY 23 hair was kept easy, sporty and natural. Highlighting each model’s unique hair texture, Hair Director Madison Voloshin used botanical-based products from vegan beauty brand Davroe.
“To create this look, we’ve used Davroe’s mix of Tame Detangler and Luxe Leave-in Masque and finished off the look with some Revive Dry Shampoo and Complete Hairspray,” says Madison.
The brief: healthy, hydrated skin. The effect: An on-the-go glow. To create the A.A RUNWAY 23 beauty look, Beauty Director Isabella Schimid curated a protocol of plant-powered products from holistic beauty brand IKKARI.
“I’m excited to be working with IKKARI, I love the way this ritual creates a beautiful, dewy base. You can use them every day to give an immediate lift to your complexion, they do all of the heavy lifting, to celebrate your best skin,” Isabella says.
Starting with a double cleanse, she then used a trio of brightening and hydrating treatments before finishing with illuminating and moisturising products for a fresh, post-sweat effect.
Keeping with the beauty brief, the models’ nails were finished with coats of plant-based and vegan nail paint byPax Polish. To keep the look natural and fresh, they used the soft pink and neutral taupe shades of Malala and Wangari.
After the show, guests enjoyed refreshing tonics by IKKARI, including their Vitality, Bulletproof and Detox formulas — each one designed to target a specific wellness goal. Served in green wine goblets from In The Roundhouse, show-goers then headed to IKKARI’s Tonic Bar to keep exploring their line of potent plant-based ingestibles.
