VICKI LEE & TED O’DONNELL COLLABORATION THE ART OF UNFURLING
For Summer 27 ‘Unfurled’, Aje enters into a creative dialogue with acclaimed Australian artists Vicki Lee and Ted O’Donnell, translating their distinct practices into a multisensory experience of fashion, art, sound and visual expression.
Lee's hyperreal botanical imagery captures banksia, bottlebrush, grevillea and milk thistle suspended beneath water, their forms shifting through colour, shadow and atmospheric depth. Drawn from Australia's ancient flora, the artworks are reimagined through the Aje lens across print, dimensional florals and tactile
Beyond print, the collaboration finds expression through petal appliqué, cascading beading and" sculptural forms, while sheer chiffon, organza and sweeping georgette echo the fluid movement of Lee's work. Ted O'Donnell's soundscape extends the experience beyond the visual, creating an immersive dialogue between image, sound, movement and fashion
Together, the works unfold as a multisensory exploration of Australian flora – where art, sound and fashion converge.
